Bengali Legacy Converter

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 3, 2026

The short version

Your text never reaches us. We do not want it, we do not store it, and the technology does not allow us to have it.

How the converter works

This site is a static page. The conversion between legacy Bengali encodings and Unicode runs entirely as JavaScript inside your browser, using a conversion engine bundled with the page.

That means the text you paste is processed on your own device. It is never transmitted to a server, because there is no server involved in converting it. You can confirm this yourself: open your browser's network inspector, paste some text, and watch — no request containing your text is made.

This is why you can safely paste an unpublished manuscript, a client document, or anything under an NDA.

What we do collect

Two anonymous counters, and nothing else:

  • A usage count per tool. When you convert something, one is added. We store a single integer. We do not store the text, the length of the text, or anything derived from it.
  • A count per day, used only to reset the daily figure.

We do not set cookies. We do not run advertising or analytics scripts. We do not build a profile of you. There is no cross-site tracking, because we do not participate in any tracking network.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard request logs for security and abuse prevention, as every web host must. These may include your IP address. We do not use them for marketing, profiling, or analytics, and we do not attempt to correlate them with anything else.

Third parties

None. No advertising networks, no analytics vendors, no fonts loaded from a third party, no embedded social media widgets. The only external host your browser talks to is the one serving this page.

Children

This tool is not directed at children and we knowingly collect no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated date at the top changes with it. Because we collect almost nothing, there is very little that could change.
